School Nurses
The School Nurses play a pivotal role in the care and welfare of the girls. They know each girl and provide a listening ear and guidance as well as medical services such as supervising girls taking prescribed medicines, etc. They carry out hearing tests on girls entering the Junior School, height and weight measurement of girls at 11 and 14 and produce individual care plans for girls with significant health problems and advise staff on their management. In addition they liaise with health specialists and parents to ensure that the needs of all girls are met appropriately. At any one time the nurses are active in the support of a number of girls who are facing family difficulties, bereavement and illness, working with the rest of the Pastoral team to provide advice and guidance to girls and staff.
Further information about the medical service provided by the school can be found in the Medical Policy.
