I must admit before actually attending Mathsfest I was very doubtful that I would actually enjoy it. Fortunately that was not the case. It was a well planned out and engaging event and I managed to understand far more than I thought I would. My personal highlights from it would have to be hearing Ben Sparks sing ‘Windmills of my mind’ while a spiral made out of the golden ratio was being played in the background, and of course getting a picture with both him and Matt Parker along with getting my calculator autographed with my name written in binary. Overall it was a fantastic and very educational day and I would recommend it to anyone with even the slightest interest in maths.
