On Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 June the Senior School was visited by the Creative Space mobile planetarium.  Lower four students spent Tuesday immersed in the wonders of the night sky as they were taken on a virtual tour of the solar system.  Guided by Space Science Communicator, Melanie Davies, the students took a trip to the stars enjoying an interactive sky tour and astro-themed films. The event was designed to support learning and enthuse pupils about the wonders of the solar system. Girls really enjoyed the immersive experience and commented that ‘it was the best thing ever’ and ‘inspired people to get into STEM’.  On the Wednesday the experience was offered to students from local primary schools as part of our work with The Ogden Trust and we were very happy to see the enthusiastic response of the younger pupils.
