Congratulations to everyone in Upper 5 receiving their GCSE results today. In what is a tremendous set of results across the board – and in a year with a mixed economy of A*-G and 9-1 grades – over 78% of all results were awarded one of the very top grades (either an A*/9/8) with 94% of all marks gaining either an A*, A, 9, 8 or 7. 99.66% were awarded an A*-B grade (9-5).
With students usually sitting nine or ten GCSE subjects in school 76 – 63% of the year – scored nine or more of one of the very top grades and over 80% of the year were awarded at least half of their marks at A*, 9 or 8.
All of these results are testament to the hard work and dedication of all students and staff and to the support of their parents and friends. We are so proud of everyone’s achievements and look forward to welcoming them back to begin A Level courses in a couple of weeks’ time.
