In the second half of the Summer term U4 students visited Whipsnade Zoo to study the design of enclosures for a variety of different animals.  They then used their science lessons to plan designs for new enclosures for the animals.  These enclosures had to take into account the well-being of the animals, the viewing experience for zoo visitors and the safety of the zookeepers.  The students worked very hard to produce portfolios to explain their design ideas and presented their final designs on posters.  These are on display in the Lecture Theatre foyer and will be on display at the end of the science corridors in the Autumn term.
