Congratulations to all involved in what was a stunning Autumn Concert last night. In just five weeks a wonderfully varied programme was performed by over 250 students to a packed Prevett Hall.

Two students in the Upper 6, Risha Alimchandani and Simran Vyas performed solos in a first half that also featured Repertoire Strings performing a medley of songs from Disney’s Frozen. The second half opened with Wind Band’s version of Camila Cabello’s Havana and Wind Orchestra performing rousing works by Holst and Vaughan Williams. Three of our choirs were next up, with Senior Choir performing a medley of songs from Les Misérables. The Jazz Band brought the evening to a sensational close with some Queen and the theme to Mission Impossible.

All performers, including many Lower 4 students taking part in their first concert, should be commended for their commitment and skill in putting on such a high quality event so early in the term. Thanks also goes to their teachers in the Music Department for their energy, time and expertise.
