We are pleased to share this short film showing our completed Science labs, built to complement the new STEM Centre, which was completed in September 2019. The new labs are part of a state-of-the-art facility, which will enable our staff and students to teach and learn in the best possible environment.

Science has always been a well-supported subject at Habs, with about a third to half of our graduating students going to university to study scientific degrees, including a large number of Medical students. The new STEM Centre also houses a number of Seminar Rooms for use by all teaching departments and a well-equipped Drama Studio, which is used for lessons and small-scale productions.

We are looking forward to welcoming Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock, space scientist and presenter of the long-running BBC show The Sky At Night, to give the inaugural Dr Luena Hatcher Lecture next term, when we will formally open the new buildings. Dr Hatcher was an Old Girl of the School and left a significant amount of money in her will for the advancement of science at Habs.
