Coach Service
Please note: this is a private bus service for the use of Habs staff and students only and members of the public cannot, and do not, use the service.
The school catchment area is large; from Harpenden in the north to St John’s Wood in the south, Hertford in the east and Rickmansworth in the west.
Our extensive coach service, operated jointly with Haberdashers’ Boys’ School, provides a convenient, safe and reliable mode of transport to and from school. Coach travel is open to all students from Year 3 upwards.
Afternoon coaches leave at 4.15pm and there is a late coach service to many areas leaving at 5.30pm, at the end of after school activities.

Can pupils get on a coach if they don't normally use the coaches or want to go to a different stop from the one on their coach pass?
Pupils may not board a different route to the ones on their coach pass unless they have a casual ticket for the stop to which they wish to travel. However if we do not travel to the stop detailed on their coach pass, at the time of day they wish to travel, they may use an alternative stop without the need for a casual ticket.
Can pupils buy a casual ticket to travel on the coaches?
These are available through the parent portal. These can be issued via email or printed if necessary. A charge will be made to your account if you don’t normally use the coach or if there is a difference in the cost of your current stop and the new journey.
Is the coach stop the same in the morning and afternoon?
We run a comprehensive service covering 33 routes at 4.15pm and 5.30pm it is not therefore possible to cover all stops at all times. Pupils should check the timetable and stop descriptors carefully to see where their nearest stop is at the time they wish to travel.
