Individual Educational Needs

Every girl is treated as an individual.

Special individual needs include those of the exceptionally able; mild learning difficulties; physical difficulties; those of girls whose religious or other commitments require special consideration. 

Two specialist co-ordinators work across the age ranges, and closely with the Junior School Deputy Head, Assistant Head and relevant Phase Leaders. There are on-going observations by subject staff of year groups, the feedback from which is followed up by the specialist staff. Girls with known medical conditions are on a special medical register and the school nurse holds individual medical plans. All staff are expected to familiarise themselves with girls’ needs on a need-to-know basis.
