St Catherine Parents' Guild | Haberdashers' Girls' School

St Catherine Parents’ Guild is the official name of the Parents’ Association at Habs Girls. You will often hear it referred to simply as the Guild. When your child joins the school, you automatically become a member of the Guild and remain so until they leave.

The Guild committee organises a number of social and fundraising events throughout the school year such as the Fireworks Extravaganza, Junior Disco, Quiz Night, Vintage Tea Party and a Summer Fun Day. In addition, we hold outgrown uniform sales several times a year and sell branded items.

The events that we hold present a perfect opportunity to socialise and catch up with other parents in your child’s class as well as the wider Habs community.

Of course, it is only through the generosity of parents giving up their time that we can run these events and the success of our events depends on parents continuing to offer their support.  Volunteering at the events is a fun and rewarding way to get involved with the Habs community and also to get to know parents from across other year groups in the school.

Below you will find our Constitution. You will see that we donate 75% of the funds we raise to the Bursary Fund. Habs is a diverse and inclusive community and our decision to donate to the Bursary Fund aligns us with the school’s strategy to become even more so. We know that a Habs education has the potential to transform lives, so we decided that if the Guild can help to make that happen for even one child, we will have achieved something truly worthwhile.

Our committee meetings are open to all parents so please do come along to hear the latest news about events and how you can help. You can also share any ideas or hidden talents with us.

If would like any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the Guild by emailing stcatherineparentsguild@gmail.com.
