A group of Upper 6 aspiring economists attended a talk at Absolute Strategy Research in London along with students from the Boys’ School. The morning consisted of a talk on the career options that could be pursed in Economics, followed by an excellent presentation on current economic conditions and strategy options, giving a forecast of the direction the economy is heading in. A summary of supply and demand analysis of the economy gave a broadened awareness of the implications of policies in place, ahead of the Bank of England’s report being released later that the day. Students thoroughly enjoyed their trip as it magnified their love for the subject and allowed them start thinking about opportunities available to them following university.
