On Monday evening we held the selection concert for the inaugural Haberdashers’ Young Musician Competition. The Haberdashers’ Company is hosting the event on Thursday 13 February 2020 at the Haberdashers’ Hall in London and all Haberdashers Schools have been invited to take part, with each school represented by one student. The final will be judged by a panel of musicians led by the conductor and musicologist Dr Jane Glover.
The concert involved many of the school’s most talented musicians and the evening was a feast of outstanding performances. The adjudicating panel was comprised of members of the Music Department and they were unanimous in their decision of selecting clarinettist Lauren Parsons to represent the school in February’s final.
