Over the past few years Mr Turner has been involved with an amazing charity called Art For Cure and during lockdown he has been working with the Art For Cure team to put together online art events designed to raise money for breast cancer support and research.
“Lockdown has been a real issue for lots of charities and we were unable to hold any ‘real’ events. Going online was a challenge and I have been involved in organising artists’ masterclasses, uploading images and making numerous films for the charity, whilst also exhibiting my own work in their online exhibitions. The theme for the new exhibition is ‘Blue Sky’ and there is some amazing work on show and next year we are hoping to return to a real exhibition in a real venue as well as building on the success of our online shows”
The next Art For Cure show runs from 30 April to 30 May and you can visit the exhibition at Art for Cure.
Art For Cure have so far donated over £850,000 with an aim to reach one million pounds in donations this year to leading breast cancer charities, national research projects and grants given to breast cancer support services in East Anglia.
