We reproduce below The Times obituary for Kathleen McLeod (nee Poole) – Class of 1941.

Kathleen joined LIVA in September 1934, took her General School Certificate in summer 1939 and left Acton from UV that year.  The obituary mentions her love of sport and she would have been taught by the legends that were Miss Vera Baron (who introduced lacrosse to the school) and Miss Jeanie Parker who taught generations of pupils to swim during her 32 years on the staff.  Ironically, Miss Jeanie Parker would have joined the staff the same day as Kathleen joined the school.
