Students in Upper 5 and Lower 6 are settling in for their final night of their Duke of Edinburgh expedition. They will have completed four nights of camping up in the Peak District to complete their Practice and Qualifying Silver back to back and in the ‘proper’ way and have kept smiling through rain, wind, sun, cold and some long hikes up hill and down dale in a stunning part of the country.

Miss Wakefield, Miss Watts and Mr Turner have been keeping a close eye on them and have been massively impressed with their attitude, resilience and good humour throughout. Hopefully they will look back on their adventure with fond memories and reflect on how their friendships have strengthened this week.

Quote of the week

‘It was mainly downhill except when it was uphill’

Thank you to Claudia, Amaara and Joystna for that pearl of wisdom and a huge thanks to A to Z whose hard work and planning have made this such a success.

See you soon!
