Anthony Anaxagorou delivered a fascinating poetry workshop as part of the Bridge programme. Anthony specialises in poems about societal issues, such as race (as seen in the poem ‘After the Formalities’), and other prevalent topics.

As a group, we found it highly engaging, as we were encouraged to create our own poetry. We also found the discussions and professional feedback beneficial and an amazingly creative outlook. We thoroughly enjoyed hearing him narrate his own work and then writing our own, supported by his outstanding guidance. In the future, we hope to have more workshops more with this poet, expanding our knowledge of both classical poetry and modern poetry centred on prominent problems in our environment.
