Congratulations to all students who are receiving A Level results today. Just under 30% of all grades were awarded an A* and 74% a grade A* or A. 95% of all A Levels taken were awarded an A* – B grade. 31 students, about 30% of the year group, achieved two or more A*s, ten of whom attained three or more of the top grades.

The results will allow the vast majority of students to take up offers at their first choice universities and we are so proud of all that this year group has achieved.

On A Level Results Day at Habs we celebrate and remember the successes of the whole year group but there will also be individual stories of students overcoming their own challenges in receiving their results today; it is impossible to share the unique context in which each student’s results are placed. As we heard at the Final Upper 6 Assembly back in May, the Upper 6th are enormously grateful for the support of their parents, each other and their teachers throughout their time at Habs, whether they joined in the Sixth Form, Lower 4 or in the Junior School.

The results should be placed alongside the array of other talents demonstrated by this terrific year group in the numerous sporting fixtures, concerts, plays, debates and charity events undertaken by the students. We are enormously proud of them all and we wish the Class of 2019 the very best of luck in whatever they choose to do next – you all have so much to offer and we look forward to hearing about your continued and future success. Do stay in touch and we hope to welcome you back as Old Girls before too long.
