Last Friday a group of prospective medicine students were lucky enough to listen to a talk given by Professor Neena Modi of Imperial College. Professor Modi gave an energetic, engaging and interactive talk about the demands and huge rewards of being a doctor.  She challenged us to think about why we have chosen or might choose to embark on a medical sciences career.  She also spoke of the pressures and triumphs of her recent role as President of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and it was incredibly inspiring to hear about her journey as a woman in a career dominated in such roles as this by men. We appreciate the visit very much and have taken away lots of important information.
