Art for Medics is an enrichment course for sixth formers that helps aspiring medics think about the human body in 3D.  Aspiring medical students from both the Girls’ and Boys’ School are equipped for interviews at medical school with some examples of their manual dexterity and creativity, and evidence that they have not spent all their time looking at 2D screens.  Real patients are three dimensional after all!  Producing some form of art demonstrates their ability to think around problems and find creative solutions.

During lockdown these classes have moved online and have become more challenging to teach but Girls’ School art teacher Mrs Deamer has risen to the challenge by introducing medically themed baking!  The results are incredible and you can see just some of what the students have made below.
